The Slate Team
As Slate’s Managing Director, Dan is responsible for the overall success and growth of Slate.
Day-to-day, Dan looks after a growing team of architectural designers, project consultants, operational staff, managers and administrators. Leadership, strategic direction and oversight across all aspects of Slate are just a few things Dan manages to ensure continued prosperity for Slate, and the best results for clients.
Leading our architectural design team is Nick Harrison, previously design lead and owner at fortyone ARCHITECTURE.
The creative leader of Slate, Nick sets the design vision and direction of all our projects, drives design conceptualization and translates design concepts to functional and aesthetic considerations. A key aspect of Nick’s role is to ensure design intent is maintained in all construction projects.
Based in our Levin Studio, Craig oversees the day-to-day operations of Slate to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Leading our team of project managers, Craig plays a critical role in managing the operational aspects of Slate ensuring all projects are completed efficiently, safely, within budget while maintaining the highest quality standard and the utmost client satisfaction.
Steering the ship from our New Plymouth Studio, Lee oversees financial and contractual aspects of all Slate's construction projects.
From estimating costs, to tendering bids from a variety of vetted trades, to value engineering and optimising costs without compromising quality, Lee ensures all our projects are completed within budget, on-time and to the highest standard.
Our super friendly and passionate Pre-Construction Manager Luke, performs a key role in the early stages of your construction project.
From planning, coordination and preparation, Luke assists with conducting site feasibility studies, working closely with our architectural and finance teams ensuring project viability and success. His local knowledge across the Horowhenua, Kapiti Coast and Manawatu regions provides real value to our clients early in their design and build project.
Based in our New Plymouth Studio, Beau is responsible for pre-construction activities across Waikato, Taranaki and the Northern regions.
Beau builds and maintains relationships with potential clients and offers specialised advice to start bringing their project to life. Beau will be with you every step of the way through your new residential or light commercial project.
Based in our new Tauranga Studio, Finn is one of our Senior Architectural Designers.
Finn’s primary role is to assist in developing architectural designs from conceptual sketches right to detailed plans and drawings. Finn’s creativity, technical skills and keen eye for detail helps to spark brilliance for our clients.
Based in our new Tauranga Studio, Sam is our Technical Lead who oversees all the intricate aspects of our architectural projects.
From design to technical guidance and review, Sam’s primary responsibility is ensuring the technical integrity, quality and success of our residential and light commercial projects.
Based in our New Plymouth Studio, Heinrich is responsible for developing marketing strategies and campaigns, growing the Slate brand, driving sales and engaging new prospects with scroll-stopping content.
Heinrich oversees the creation of Slate’s content such as project photography, social media, website, ads and brand signage amongst other things, while working with agencies to bring the Slate brand to life across digital, print, and out-of-home. Phew, no wonder he lives on Ozone Coffee.
Based in our New Plymouth Studio, Stella is our Lead Administrator responsible for ensuring the wheels keep moving at Slate.
From accounts reconciliation, to invoicing, to greeting our clients and to general administrative duties, Stella is our admin superstar.
Based in our Levin Studio, Brett is one of our Senior Project Managers looking after projects from Hawke’s Bay, across to Manawatu and down along the Kapiti Coast.
Brett plays a key role in ensuring Slate projects are delivered successfully, meeting client requirements while adhering to quality, budget and schedule constraints.
Based in our New Plymouth Studio, Jo looks after all our projects in Taranaki and Waikato.
Jo plays a key role in ensuring Slate projects are delivered successfully, meeting client requirements while adhering to quality, budget and schedule constraints.
Based in our Levin Studio, Jonte ensures projects from Palmy to Paraparaumu stay on track.
From creating detailed project schedules to estimating costs and procurement of materials, Jonte plays a key part in ensuring our projects adhere to budget constraints and are finished with high quality workmanship.
